The National Student Clearinghouse fulfills requests for verifications of enrollment and degrees regarding current and former students of the University of Chicago. The National Student Clearinghouse observes and complies with all federal privacy laws.
Students & Alumni
If you are:
- -a current student
- -an alum who graduated Autumn Quarter 2005 or later
Then order verifications of your enrollment or degrees via cMore.
If you are:
- -an alum who graduated prior to Autumn Quarter 2005
- -a former student who did not receive a degree from the University
- -a former student without an active CNET ID
Then order verifications of your degrees or previous enrollment via the Clearinghouse site.

FERPA - Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), only directory information may be released to third parties. Enrollment status, dates of attendance and degree information are directory information.
If you do not wish information about your enrollment status and degrees released to third parties go to cMore to establish your privacy option. Alumni and former students who do not have access to cMore but who would like to remove FERPA holds should contact Andrew S. Hannah, Sr. Associate University Registrar, at ashannah@uchicago.edu.
