533rd Convocation: Deadlines and Instructions

The Countdown to Convocation event, scheduled for April 29 and 30, has been cancelled. For information about ordering caps/gowns, class rings, etc., see the Convocation website and the bookstore website.

May 8, 2020 Students who applied to graduate may withdraw their application by this date without penalty.
May 29, 2020 Grades from previous quarters must be reported to the Office of the University Registrar and all tuition, fees and restrictions, including library, housing, parking, etc., must be paid in full.
June 5-6, 2020 Grades for required courses in progress must be reported by their instructors to the Office of the University Registrar.  (Professional School students may have alternate deadlines for Spring course grades.)
June 13, 2020 The 533rd Convocation will take place on the Main Quadrangle at the University of Chicago campus. All candidates will line up in their designated area near the Main Quadrangle, beginning at 8:00 a.m. To guarantee placement in the procession, candidates should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m.  Lineup locations, information about luncheons, ceremonies, and receptions can be found in the Convocation brochure here.
June 15, 2020 Students who elected to have their diplomas mailed will receive them after this date by U.S. Postal Service at the address provided in the application to graduate.
