How can College Students request registration into classes that would cause a time conflict (simultaneous enrollment)

A new Simultaneous Enrollment Request form is available for College students to request enrollment into a class that would cause a time conflict.  Please note that consent will not be overridden through this process, so a consent form will need to be submitted instead of the web form.

Can I register for 500 units as a College student?

Registration into 500 units will be possible for eligible College students beginning the first day of the quarter. You will not be able to register for 500 units prior to that date. The College Advising Office provides guidance on eligibility under the heading Taking a 5th Course. Please note the registration dates and deadlines page which contains the most up to date registration information.

When/how can I register for a class that requires consent?

For Spring 2020, the consent period will open on March 25. At that time, the online consent button will appear in my.UChicago and the Office of the Registrar will begin accepting paper/PDF consent forms submitted with an instructor’s attached permission. Please note the registration dates and deadlines page which contains the most up to date registration information.

How do I submit a Reading and Research Form?

The Reading and Research form is available as a PDF on the College Advising website. This form must be submitted along with any necessary approvals. Reading and Research classes are still subject to the 5th class process.

How can I obtain an enrollment verification for the Spring Quarter?

You will be able to secure an enrollment verification letter once Spring Quarter begins. Please visit the Enrollment and Degree Verification webpage for more information.
