Financial Obligations

Students are expected to settle all financial obligations to the University, including current quarter tuition and fees, by the end of the eighth week of Summer Quarter and by the end of ninth week of Winter, and Spring Quarter. In Autumn Quarters, this deadline falls immediately before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Fees for all graduating students

A degree application cancellation fee ($65) is assessed for all cancellations, for any reason, received after the 5th week of the quarter for which the application was made. More information about this fee (Fee for Cancellation of Application to Graduate) can be found on the Office of the Bursar’s web site under “Occasional Fees”.

All Spring Quarter diploma and/or hooding ceremony participants must rent or purchase appropriate ceremonial attire. Fees vary by degree type.

Ph.D. and J.S.D. students may pay a fee for dissertation processing at ProQuest, depending on the type of publishing chosen. The Dissertation Office at Regenstein Library can provide additional information about publishing options and possible fees.
